Publisher's Synopsis
Consistent with its tradition since inception, this 15th Edition of the International Conference on Materials Degradation in Light Water Reactors focuses on subject areas critical to the safe and efficient running of nuclear reactor systems through the exchange and discussion of research results as well as field operating management experience. These exchanges and discussions contribute to all four elements listed above for effective asset management. This Conference featured the presentation of about 150 papers, spread over 40 sessions in about 20 different areas relevant to LWRs including SCC of nickel alloys and stainless steels, fuel and fuel related materials, corrosion fatigue, flow assisted corrosion, IASCC and irradiation effects, super critical water materials degradation management. The conference was attended by over 200 scientists and engineers from 17 countries, representing power plant operators, NSSS vendors, regulators, national laboratories, research institutes, universities, and other organization affiliated with the nuclear and nuclear service industries.
