There is very little in life more satisfying than skippering a yacht across a bit of water to a new port. It doesn't matter much whether it's five miles or five thousand. Getting there is always an adventure, and arrival is always deeply satisfying. But there's a lot more to skippering a yacht than knowing how to sail. In fact, most of the skills you'll need are in managing the crew rather than the yacht.
