Publisher's Synopsis
This work provides a beginner's introduction to the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory Revised (MMPI-2), a widely researched and broadly used personality assessment instrument in psychology. The book assumes no testing or clinical background. It describes the developmental rationale and the broad personality and symptomatic measures of the instrument, as well as the essential strategies for interpreting MMPI-2 profiles and communicating the results of testing when appropriate. The various measures contained on the MMPI-2 are described and illustrated with case material. The text is equally useful as an introduction for nonpsychologist professionals and as an introductory text for students of clinical and personality assessment.
