Farjeon (1838-1903) was an English novelist, playwright and journalist who produced nearly 60 novels and attracted the attention of Charles Dickens. This work was first published in the UK in 1894 as Aaron the Jew and is reproduced from an America edition under the title A Fair Jewess.
