His first overseas country was Vietnam, where he worked as a chef at a new hotel called La Caravelle. While in Saigon, he met a French Girl who became his wife, who had a very special gift to see in the future, himself had much interest in that field. Then after three years contract at the Caravelle Hotel, he leaves with his wife Diane and their new born son noel to London England where he worked at the famous Savoy hotel, when in London goes to school to learn the English language, which will allow him to go to Hong Kong for the opening of the British owned the Mandarin Hotel.
