Never leave your Human Alone, that's the rule all Good Dogs have to live by. But it's tough to do when Humans are so foolish they destroy their own Packs and ruin where they live. Meanwhile my Human is her own disaster, so I bit a couple of people (they deserved it), and now we're on the run, trying to stay ahead of the Dark Blues and Thumper Babies, and hopefully make it some Mecca called Mexico. Unless I can convince my Human it's time to go where the Wild Ones are.
A Grrrl Dogz Guide to Surviving Humanity is a near-future dystopia and darkly humorous adventure, told from the perspective of an acerbic Dog on a desperate escape with her Human, a road trip through places unraveling from societal and environmental collapse. After getting dumped by her husband, a once pampered Babe (as in "in the woods," nothing to do with her looks) must survive a devolving world with wits and money she doesn't have. Stella can barely save her own foolish Human, let alone an entire species so silly it is slowly destroying its own world, and so bad decisions are made (mostly by Babe, but sometimes Stella) and the pair end up on the run, like Thelma and her Canine Louise. As Babe seeks food for her dog and love for herself, Stella is desperate to find new pack members because a Pack of Two is not enough, especially when one of you is Babe.
