Publisher's Synopsis

"Oh, no , not me," cried the young Woodsie, Blueberry, when Mayor Elderberry chose him to join the Heroes on their annual journey to the fabled Tip. Most young Woodsies would have been overjoyed to have been chosen - to venture Outside, battle wood mice, outwit their enemies the evil Grumbles and commit whatever other brave deeds Heroes were said to do. But even though Blueberry was an Inventor, not an Adventurer, he had been chosen and so he set off on the journey that was to change his life forever. At first the team of Heroes was not very pleased to have him with them either but from inventing a boat to driving a tin train, Blueberry proves to be very useful to the older Heroes. When they overhear two Grumbles talking about their plan to attack the Woodsie villages, Blueberry shows that he really is A Hero for the Woodsies.
