Will Carlson is an author and educator living in Mystic, CT. He draws his literary inspiration from charming visions of his central Illinois hometown and those in it, and from the restless memories of his years in the US Navy. He is a historian and an observer of the human condition. In many ways, his life may appear to be a series of failed endeavors, abandoned dreams, refusals of love when it exists, and pursuits of love when it remains out of reach. In short, he is human. His writing aims to show that even in life's gaps, there is poignant meaning and beauty.
