Publisher's Synopsis
Motherhood is like a roller coaster - full of highs and lows. It's full of tenderness, kisses and laughter, and then you go in a free fall of frustration, insomnia, and screams. But, it's the small things that make it special - peas thrown across the room, trains construction on the chairs, and tables, and learning to walk, talk, and eat. This is a collection of thoughts on what it is like to be a toddler and a mother. Karien van Ditzhuijzen (1976) lived and traveled all over the world, studied chemistry, developed recipes for ice creams, and now she is a mother. She lives in England with her husband and children. If she has a minute, she writes for and about children, about food and creative cooking. Her columns are published on various online magazines and her two successful blogs.
