Ster. That will be done by other tongues and pens. Yea, the hearts of a whole people are doing it, at this moment, in silent admiration and grief.

My object is, to seize on this occasion, when the feel ings of neither you nor me will allow us to turn away from the event referred to, in order to impress some truths naturally suggested by it, which may be of use to us, both as citizens and as creatures of god, passing away to an immortal existence. My subject will be, great men, in their relations both to God and to man kind.
