Lila Teafeather, age 10, has been waiting to learn 'bigger magic' ever since her cousin Mira started middle school. Fifth grade starts that journey, assuming she can pass the Fourth Grade Test, that is. Lila and her friends intend to spend their week-long Spring Break to practice their magic skills, but when their familiars begin acting strangely, and their teacher sends riddles through their spellgendas, it's up to her and her friends to figure out what is going on.
