Celebrations of the Earth and her energies, old Pagan festivals, and contemporary derivations of these festivals from Neo-Pagan and other faiths are all included in this Wiccan calendar. This work aims to comprehensively examine the many localized practices that surround these holidays, which reflect various cultures, languages, and spiritual orientations, and which, for the most part, correspond in time to seasonal changes such as solstices, equinoxes, or the periods immediately following or preceding them. Contemporary practitioners of Witchcraft believe that these time periods are diluted and distorted by popular holidays and cultural festivities. The magical perception would imply that ancient humans were reacting to the changing moods and perceived health and cycles of the Earth. The festivals' character mirrors Earth's natural and constant condition at that time of year, with some somber and others being tremendously joyful, wild, and uninhibited. As a result, the numerous variations on particular themes may not all come from the same place of origin; instead, they may have developed separately in reaction to a natural occurrence that, although apparent to our forefathers, may be invisible to many of us now. This book aims to shed some light on the Witch's cyclical and evolving calendar.
