Spectral and axial aspects of the representation of migration in 21st century Romance literatures and visual media form the focus of this volume. Which ghosts of the (colonial) past return in the present? What spatial axes are generated in the narratives of migration? What medial processes emerge in this context? The contributions explore these questions in Latin American and French Canadian literatures as well as in francophone comics, African feature and short films and European co-productions such as TV series.
