Each master provides step-by-step instructions for the prevalent studio techniques in Adventures in Art. They serve as technique reminders and allow students to undertake projects without the fear of damaging their books. They can become part of a student's art portfolio, or can be sent home to share with parents. The simple illustrations that accompany each master provide examples for the student. Students should be encouraged to generate their own ideas, not copy or to colour the examples themselves.
