Publisher's Synopsis

Alexandra Pine is an eleven year old girl with a fascination for stories. Along with her younger brother Daniel, they regularly make up stories to entertain themselves and their parents. While their father is somewhat conservative in his outlook, both parents encourage the open minds of their children. While on a springtime family picnic, Alexandra discovers a flint arrowhead in the grass and shows Daniel. It is a discovery that leads them to discover the world is far bigger than they both thought. For underlying their world are the worlds of legends and fables, each world woven by cultures both past and present. Aided by the Pomo Spirit Walker Yanta, Alexandra and Daniel learn how to protect the world from dangers that threaten the very fabric of reality. But their training is filled with a sense of urgency for an ancient evil has awoken and now threatens the worlds of legend. Yanta teaches them that if the worlds of legend fall, then their own world will be doomed. When they travel to meet with Coyote, the heart of the Pomo legends, the three of them discover he has been abducted by dark beings and that time is now of the essence. With time running out, Alexandra and Daniel sneak off to try and find Coyote themselves. Their foe however is powerful and even with the aid of a rescued adventurer named Katarina, does Alexandra have the strength to defeat a fallen legend?
