Dark Stories of Murder and Revenge. A group of seemingly unrelated short stories that come together through the main character of Alice. The story revolves around the 80-year-old Alice B who makes her money through questionable business interests including a research clinic that trials brainwave research and a business that offers a new start to those so inclined to 'disappear' from their current life.

Alice is determined to find a solution to her own age-related cognitive decline. Using brainwave entrainment, she steps in and out of other people's lives through their dreams and thoughts. First, she just watches others dreams but gradually starts to interfere in her unsuspecting victims' existence. The stories tell of these dream encounters as she watches and interferes in the lives of her unsuspecting victims. Some sense they are being watched. Others have no idea that someone else is manipulating their thoughts.

A post op recovery for a hip replacement, puts Alice in a private rest home. Here she encounters a care worker who has other interests in Alice besides her health recovery. Susan underestimates Alice seeing her as an aging victim and an easy target for manipulation. However, Alice has other plans and recognizes the scam turning the tables on the younger care worker to teach her a hard lesson.

Susan is enraged and determined to get revenge on the old woman. Alice is left with no choice but to take care of Susan. Permanently.

Stories to make you think twice.
