A lot has happened to Eleanor Frost in the last year: she has inherited a house, discovered magic is real and has visited some very strange places, not the least of which was Faerie. Now she and her fiance, James Harrington, were going to have to explain all of this to his brother Edmund. Eleanor and James, having rescued Edmund's pregnant wife Kitty from Faerie, now had to explain how she was carrying not only Edmund's baby but also that of Branchir, King of Faerie... how was that even possible? It had to be magic of course. When Kitty is abducted by Branchir's enemies, Eleanor and James, together with an incredulous Edmund, must now return to Faerie to rescue her yet again... only this time Faerie is preparing for war.
