Dr. Yonnet's journey started very far from where it eventually led him. He was born in a suburb of Bordeaux, France, in an environment that didn't especially predispose him for success. Yet, through hard work and dedication, and thanks to the positive influence of the people he was fortunate to meet, he dreamed up a new life for himself and methodically pushed forward toward the achievement of his vision to become a physician in America. It was right before reaching his goal that tragedy struck. Despite unforeseeable challenges, through perseverance and the invaluable support of those around him, he not only bounced back, but bounced higher than anyone could have imagined.
