In preparation for the writing of his first novel, Privateer, Richard "Dick" Willett wrote numerous short stories. One of the stories is a true experience, but the remaining story ideas are fictional with some personal experiences interspersed. Many of his story ideas came from his work, his love for sailing, and the beauty of the Mississippi River. Those of you who knew the author, can see a little bit of Dick Willett in every story.
