Publisher's Synopsis
The Zapp Kids invite the Maltese Cat to accompany them to a convention held in San Francisco on Artificial Intelligence known as AI World 2019. Whereas the scientifically-minded Kids are enthusiastic about the myriad of possibilities that AI and robotics can hold for the future, the Maltese Cat sees many moral, legal, and physical complications that could arise from autonomous, free-thinking, intelligent machines. As if he had read the future, the Maltese Cat becomes involved in trying to stop a plan by a revived cartel to cripple the world with such advanced AI technology. This may prove to be too big of a challenge for the Maltese Cat, even assisted by the Zapp Kids, Jimmy Donnegan, and unexpected help from other sources. The stakes are high and there is no option not to play this game. If not stopped, it will soon be a war of machines against humans, which could result in the Armageddon of the world. Whose side will you be on?
