This publication, which accompanies a major touring exhibition, looks at British art of the second half of the 20th Century from the perspective of four North West art galleries: Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale and Preston. The exhibition and catalogue bring together key art works from the galleries' collections and looks at the considerable challenges faced in acquiring them.
