Johnny Alpha and a mismatched band of Strontium are press-ganged into doing the dirty work of Don 'Chick' Delater, mutant, crime boss and professional psychopath. Delater wants the Dogs to track down his old partner, and to keep their minds on the job, he's implanted micro bombs inside each of the bounty hunters.
