Could the United States become a fascist dictatorship like Hitler's Nazi Germany? Or worse yet, could George Orwell's 1984 finally become a reality? What are the threats from advanced computer technology, bio technology, and genetic science in our constitutional democracy? The novel examines these prospects in two stories that probe into fragmentary evidence that a coup is underway in the United States.
