The issue is that the required ingredients are across the river in the mysterious Kingdom of Aurora. All Sylvein knows about the other kingdom are terrifying myths of skinwalkers and moon rituals. But it's majestic and alluring and calls to her blood like a song. Blood, she soon discovers, which makes her something she doesn't understand.
Along with the wolf she saved from a hunter's trap, Sylvein is the only hope for her family and the village that broke her spirit.
