Publisher's Synopsis
Jean-Marc Vallée writes and directs this two-tiered French romantic drama. The film follows characters in present-day Montreal and 1969 Paris as their experiences of love and loss become intertwined. Antione Godin (Kevin Parent) is a successful middle-aged DJ who has abruptly ended his marriage to marry his much younger girlfriend. His distraught ex-wife Carole (Hélène Florent) has been tormented since the split by terrible nightmares, many of which include waking visions of Jacqueline (Vanessa Paradis), a single mother in 1960s Paris going through similar heartbreak after her partner disappears after finding out that their young son, Laurent (Marin Gerrier), has Downs syndrome.
