Call of the Loon

Call of the Loon is a story of romantic suspense, the story of career woman, Megan Kearney, a successful Philadelphia attorney who decides to leave her busy 24/7 life in the city to return to her roots in the small town where she grew up beside the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York. She hopes to resume her law practice there and perhaps to rekindle the spark of a relationship with history professor, Eric Waterman. When Megan returns to Riverside, she finds: Eric, the college professor she had dated before she left, is seriously involved with Barbara Foster; Steve Warner, the new man in town is attracted to her and she to him; and George Fairchild is as nasty a man as he was a teenager. He is threatening to ruin Megan's sister, Pat, and her husband's reputation and economic well-being. It's up to Megan to stop him. And when Megan is offered the possibility of a political future, everyone, including her emeritus college professor parents and her gossipy psychologist friend, Hannah, become involved. This is the story of a strong woman dealing with love, romance and a career.
