Publisher's Synopsis
Magpies belong to the Corvidae family of birds. They are often regarded as clever creatures, just like the rest of their family. The Eurasian magpie, for example, is considered one of the world's smartest birds and is one of the few non-mammal animals capable of self-recognition in a mirror test.
Pica magpies are found in temperate regions of Europe, Asia, and western North America, with populations in Tibet and high-elevation portions of India, such as Ladakh (Kargil and Leh), as well as Pakistan. East Asia and the Iberian Peninsula are home to the Cyanopica genus of magpies.
This book contains information on how to care for magpies, how to feed them, and feeding rules.
