This project stemmed from one of the lectures I presented to my "Music Appreciation classes" taught at Florida Memorial University in Miami; students were often curious about why they do not see many Black conductors leading Classical orchestras or jazz. And they would ask me the question. So, I began trying to explain to them the global makeup of classism that exists culturally and its dangers to humanity, especially when the human is purposely omitted or simply ignored. I did my best. Therefore, at this junction as a teacher, I compiled my notes and brief life experiences for this platform about Classical Conductors and Underrepresented Allies. Conductors are the directors' designated guides to music ensembles, such as orchestras, choruses, and recording sessions.
