This privately funded book was developed to highlight the South Carolina Conservation Bank (SCCB), which has achieved extraordinary results in less than a decade, including the permanent protection of 134,000 acres of critically important lands, natural resources, and historic sites within South Carolina. In commemorating these preserved spaces-which, without the SCCB's help, would likely be under development now- this attractive photo collection's overall message is to encourage continued conservation work by discussing the SCCB's prior successes and promoting support for their future endeavors. Contributing photographers include Thomas Wyche, Clay Bolt, Greg Kiniry, Richard Bernabe, Ken Bowman, Ed Funk and Phillip Jones.
