'Present Arms' was compiled for radio from two television episodes, 'Battle of the Giants' and 'Shooting Pains', and was first broadcast as a special Christmas edition on BBC Radio 4 in 1974. Initially written for television, the 'Dad's Army' series ran to 80 episodes and spawned a film, stage show and long-running radio series.
