For 'Recession', Dan Perjovschi covered the two large wall spaces of the Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst with a dense reference system, executed in white chalk on black ground, and diagramming a huge range of contemporary social, cultural and political phenomena in crude pictograms. This publication traces the project in a diaristic fashion and steers the reader's attention from broad views of the installation to detailed close-up.
