This title presents gross-out poetry for zombie fans who like a little brains with their brains. It is filled with hilarious zombie pop-culture references and gross-out descriptions of the living dead. "Dawn of Zombie Haiku" follows the adventures of Dawn, a 10-year-old zombie-movie obsessed girl, and her father, an equally zombie-loving ferry-boat captain, as they're confronted with the real thing outside their New York home. The pair immediately turn to their hypothetical zombie-survival plan and head for the Statue of Liberty. Before they flee, the girl grabs her beloved haiku journal where she captures the events as they unfold in brief bursts of poetry written in sparse language about increasing violence and gore.
