Publisher's Synopsis
Until the middle of the twentieth century, America was a better place to live. One sentiment stretched all across America. That sentiment was optimism. America was filled with optimism and hope for the future. Then, quite suddenly, something seemed to go terribly wrong. Everywhere you looked there was disillusionment and despair. What happened to the American dream?
There is a war raging in this country that is threatening America's future. Foundational truths are being challenged and redefined. Everything is being questioned: the Bible, religion, authority, integrity, history, right and wrong. Even America's Christian heritage is being relegated to the meaningless category of "irrelevant theological meditations."
Many American history curriculums now have only passing references to the founding fathers with some modern historians actually admitting they remove "theological meditations" from the actual historical accounts because they are irrelevant. That statement demands an answer to each of the following two questions:
-What are the true facts of history?
-Do they really matter?
The true facts of history will reveal that America's heritage is, in fact, Christian. The brave men that first settled this country and the great men that framed the Constitution are allowed to speak for themselves and in their own words.
This book is based entirely on primary research, with the exception of several, secondary quotes where the original sources are no longer available. Over one hundred eighty books, publications, and official U.S. Government statistical sources were researched for this book. Books authored by such men as: Christopher Columbus, William Bradford Governor of Plymouth Colony, educational and religious leaders, the Founders and framers of the Constitution, Chief Justices of the Supreme Court, and others.
