Publisher's Synopsis
Detective Short Stories - August 1937 was another of the "Red Circle" group of pulps published by Martin Goodman. This is the first issue published in the run of what was to be one of their longest running magazine titles. Even with a fairly tight budget, they managed to attract several big names for their premiere issue, including Carl McK. Saunders, Donald Barr Chidsey and the ever popular Hugh B. Cave.
