Publisher's Synopsis
Joe King Oliver was one of the NYPD's finest investigators, until he was framed for assault and imprisoned. A decade later, King is a private detective. When he receives a card from a woman admitting she was paid to frame him, King decides to find out who on the force wanted him gone - and why. Running in parallel with King's investigation is the case of a black radical journalist accused of killing two police officers who had been trafficking in drugs and women. Joined by Melquarth Frost, a brilliant sociopath, Oliver must beat dirty cops and dirtier bankers, and keep his daughter far from the underworld in which he works.
