Publisher's Synopsis
When looking at the title and the picture one would think that Eaglefoam is some kind of code word, or at the very least, something mysterious. In the eyes of a child-my dad, it had all the mystery his imagination could create. As a boy, my dad learns the harsh reality of life, but along with it the importance of family, friends, and responsibility through the course of growing up. At age eleven, during the Depression years, he is working with explosives in a mine which at the age of seventeen aids him in the war when he becomes a part of the newly formed Seabees in the Navy.He goes on to fight in two more wars, marries, raises seven children and continues his service to others in his job choices as well as to his Lord and Savior-Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, he passed away before his whole story could be told, but my dad has a way with words and the details of what he did get down on paper was, I believe, mesmerizing.I wanted to finish his legacy for the sake of my siblings. To see their father's words in print and give them a chance to pay tribute to him by writing letters which is how the book is finished. To my dad, my older siblings, my husband, son, cousins, and all veterans who so selflessly gave and continue to give, I cannot be more proud to know you and thank you for your service!
