Publisher's Synopsis
This intention of this little book is to make the college writing process easy; it is a book for both teachers and students of writing. The activities at the end of each chapter are designed to build traditional lesson plans around (for teachers), and are designed so that students can practice the skills in each chapter. The writing skills are scaffolded, building from chapter to chapter toward a full paper. This book relies on the work of other college writing texts which also intended to demystify the writing process; I have gleaned the best practices from each in hopes that short segments of a variety of approaches will respond to differences in learning styles, and to a range and scope of methods. It values synthesis above self-determination.
