This volume focuses on innovations in social values in legal education and practice in East Asia, South-East Asia and Latin America and how these changes contribute to the debate on convergence and difference in the role of law and legal institutions throughout the world. Globalization and technology may allow, even require, convergence of lawyersÆ training, practices and values. Local conditions, however, may create resistances and barriers which must be acknowledged and studied.
