Nowadays, there is an app for almost everything. Most of them solve, or at least, try to solve, some or the other problems. Other than serving the primary purpose, most of these apps have a strong influence on our emotions. We encounter various human emotions while using these apps. The various social media apps or the collaboration apps, for example, generally evoke a wide range of emotions based on what is posted by others and what we see, hear, or read. Many of these apps either make us happy, sad, angry, or fearful. Random content posts in the social media apps, for example, often end up taking us on a roller-coaster ride of more than one emotional feeling in too short of a timespan spent browsing.Though many of our human emotions are evoked by some of these apps, one of the areas which is yet to be solved by the modern-day innovations, is our ability to manage or cope-up with our emotions. There are spiritual gurus on this endeavour, delivering sermons running through the complete value chain including exposition, exhortation, and practical application. Then we have innumerable online resources, including, but not limited to videos, books, texts, blogs & scriptures. But we still have a long way to go before a technology-enabled "Emotion Management System" is invented and made available for an affordable use in the public domain.EMOTICONS is a quick read and takes us through some of the most dominant human emotions.
