Publisher's Synopsis
Employee Relations Management: Australia in a Global Context provides a critical account of the evolution of the organisation and management of the employment relationship. It aims to fill a gap left by existing treatments and promote a better understanding of the contemporary employment relationship by explicitly placing the study of the employment relationship in the international context that has become increasingly important to every aspect of Australian society. The editors have brought together a wide variety of contributors with expertise in areas as diverse as international business, human resource management, organisational learning and small business, as well as more traditional industrial relations. In each case the contributors were asked to address the central questions of this book in such a way as to contribute to a comprehensive treatment of the field of employee relations.
