Publisher's Synopsis

In this book, the reader follows two men on a special trip on motorcycles. It is a record of day-to-day life on the road and talks about corruption in Ukraine, clays in Siberia, lying and bluffing in the Kazakh customs, negotiating with police in Kyrgyzstan, gasoline shortages, falls, and getting lost in Mongolia. It also about the many special and heartwarming encounters, the unexpected and often much needed assistance they received, the freedom of traveling by motorcycle and of course, their visits to the three SOS Children's Villages. A three month adventure is summarized in a fascinating book. Bart Cornelis (1964) is married and is the father of Camiel, Jules and Roger. In the first year of secondary school, his Dutch teacher put him out through the window. In the final year of secondary school, his essay exam was unsolicited and very reluctantly published in the school newspaper. Despite these experiences, he has always been fond of books. It is so crazy that he now himself has written one.
