Publisher's Synopsis

O'Keefe is invited to a July 4th picnic at the in-laws, including a spectacular fireworks display. The picnic turns deadly and O'Keefe becomes involved in a conspiracy at the highest levels of the government. As the violence escalates and innocent people become victims, he decides "enough is enough" and he goes on the offensive. The bad guys make it personal and O'Keefe becomes their worst nightmare. The evil SARTXE rears its ugly head again and O'Keefe strikes back. "One thing we learned in Viet Nam was not to let the enemy rest no matter what the circumstances." he says. Then Bill's ex-father-in-law, asks a special favor. "What do you want me to do for you, Jack?" O'Keefe asks. "Get my money back, Billy. I don't care how you do it. I know how you work. You can do things the police can't. I don't care how you do it. Just do it." O'Keefe does not like things that go boom and he does not like insurance companies that steal people's money and then kill to cover up what they have done. When O'Keefe makes a father's promise to his son, it becomes the most important thing he has ever done. As things become ugly, he goes on the hunt, pursuing the case to its inevitable end where there are no longer any rules. The words of his CO from Viet Nam echo in his mind as he concludes his search. "If he deserved to die, then it's not murder. That's Texas justice," said Captain Matthew Thornton, U.S. Army Ret., Midland, Texas. Don't miss this exciting sequel to Murry's Malady. If you like action, FIREWORKS won't disappoint you.
