Publisher's Synopsis

The following set of assignments have been specifically written for use of BTEC first courses in business and finance and for use on RSA vocational diploma course in office procedures and general reception. The assignments are pitched at NCVQ Level II and should also be of use on other similar business administration courses.;Each assignment comes in three parts. The first part is a Tutor Sheet giving brief details of the situation the student/trainee is placed in, the activities they will be involved in, the competence objectives they can achieve and the skills they will be developing. The second part of each assignment consists of a checklist of performance criteria.;The assignments can either be attempted as a whole or individual tasks can be selected, depending on course needs. It is assumed that with the introduction of each assignment the tutor will provide the students/trainee with the necessary background knowledge, and the asignments should be used as a vehicle for tutors to put across this knowledge, rather than students having to learn it page by page from a text book.
