Publisher's Synopsis
While grilling steaks on the BBQ, a colorful male Costa's hummingbird entered my backyard and established one branch on a tree as his own. From there, he supervised all things in our yard. Photographing the little bird was a joy. My neighbors, family and friends encouraged me to write this children's story to trace the migration of Homer T. Hummingbird from his winter home in Sonora Mexico to our home in Banning California. All along the way, Homer is faced with danger, beauty and his many friends - all in his quest to rejoin his lovely Henrietta.
