Fall webworm h tria cunea) outbreaks on cottonwood occurred in localized areas thro t the region. A heavy infestation was successfully controlled with ddt in Oak Creek Canyon on the Coconino National Forest during the fall of 1955.

A water emulsion of ddt at a rate of 1 pound per acre was applied by the use of a mist blower.
