Publisher's Synopsis

This is a book that was written at the Cedar Roe Library by four women who came together to share, in writing, their lives. It was as much a process of self-discovery as it was a supportive environment to unburden. It was a powerful experience, finding our voices to share our lives on a deeper level. As we discovered ourselves and each other, we recognized that the writing that we were doing was pushing us to share on a deeper and more intimate level. The writing forced a greater degree of introspection and we were able to articulate our feelings with more accuracy.

Yet this kind of writing was sometimes gritty work. We challenged ourselves to leave it all on the page. And that is the draw of the book. There are no sugar-coated stories within. We talk honestly about raising kids, marriage and balancing our lives so that the "me" piece didn't get lost. Probably much like you.

These stories are all of our stories.
