Publisher's Synopsis
I started out to write a recipe book telling you how to prepare some of the foods you have enjoyed at my house. This was upon the request of my granddaughter, Jenny Magee. Then, I thought I would include some of the little articles I have written. A few of them have been published; most have not. A publisher can reject them; you have no choice. They will be in your book. After I add a thought for the day here and there, a few pictures and some favorite scriptures, the book will resemble the old Farmer's Almanac we use to get when I was a kid. Hence, the title: Grandma's Almanac. But, I won't be telling you when to look for a full moon. This entire project is meant to be an expression of my love for my grandchildren. May you accept it and read it with that thought in mind. If you find a recipe you think is worth the effort and the cost of the ingredients, make it and enjoy it. If you find a bit of humor, have a good laugh. When you find a part you think is plain silly, just chuckle and say, "That's Grandma for ya."
