Quinn O'Connell has always devoted herself to her bookstore and never really had time for a social life. So when successful businessman Harley Donaldson suddenly appears in her life, she's not interested. They get off to a bad start even before they are formally introduced. From the moment Horatio, Quinn's adorable Old English Sheepdog, trespasses in Harley's garden, right up to when Quinn's mother attempts to set them up, it seems as though the gods are conspiring to keep them together, even though neither one wants to date.
