Herbert West: Reanimator is a horror story in six chapters written by HP Lovecraft in 1922. The second chapter, The demon of the plague was originally published in a journal of the time as short story autoconclusivo, but was later followed by other chapters, which explains that each is an individual story about the adventures of the protagonist. The story recounts the results of the research of Dr. Herbert West over death and resuscitation of bodies, from his student days in the fictional Miskatonic University until shortly after the First World War.
