Publisher's Synopsis
The story of Humpty Dumpty's son and how he avoids making the same mistakes his father made. Wonderfully illustrated fairy tale from William Wallace Denslow, illustrator of the Wizard of Oz. This book is a tale of folklore or nursery rhyme intended for nursery and primary readers. In this story the egg is the son of humpty dumpty and he doesn't want to be as fragile s his father so he goes to the black hen to find out how he can protect himself from the same fate as his father. I think this story teaches kids that you need to toughen yourself up so that life doesn't get you down and break your spirit. After this egg hard boiled himself he was able to go out and experience life and make people happy without the fear that he would succome to the same fate as his father. I liked the pictures because it was very old fashioned looking. I think e books are a good way to perserve really old literature. If I would have taken this book out of the library I think I would have been worried about my children destroying it.
